HONOURING VINUNIVERSITY AS A DIAMOND SPONSOR OF AAAP 2026

The Organising Committee of the 21st Asian-Australasian Association of Animal Production (AAAP 2026) is pleased to recognise and express its sincere appreciation to VinUniversity (VinUni) for its support as a Diamond Sponsor of the Conference. VinUni’s partnership helps strengthen connections between the scientific community and practical production, promote the application of technology and facilitate knowledge exchange, contributing to the advancement of sustainable animal production.

VinUniversity: A Research-Oriented University Driving Innovation

Founded by Vingroup in 2019, VinUniversity is a private, not-for-profit university established to international standards in collaboration with Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania in the United States.

As a research-oriented institution, VinUni integrates artificial intelligence (AI) into its teaching, research and operations, fostering scientific innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

VinUniversity’s partnership with AAAP 2026 as a Diamond Sponsor helps strengthen connections among research institutions, the scientific community and businesses, while creating opportunities for scientific advances to be shared and applied more closely to practical production.

Connecting Genomic Data and AI for Sustainable Agricultural Development

As part of AAAP 2026, VinUni’s Big Data Research Institute is organising the International Symposium on Applied Genomics in Agriculture (SAGA 2026). First held in 2025, SAGA joins AAAP this year as a thematic symposium, providing a platform for scientists to exchange knowledge and explore the potential of genomic data and AI in agricultural development.

Discussions will focus on how genomic data and AI can support the breeding of crops and livestock with higher productivity, greater resilience to climate change and lower emissions. These research directions are important for improving production efficiency, strengthening climate resilience and advancing more sustainable agricultural systems.

In addition, VinUni’s Big Data Research Institute is leading a research programme for the 2026–2030 period focused on Vietnam’s traditional rice, livestock and aquaculture breeds. The programme aims to study indigenous genetic resources, contributing to the conservation and development of valuable genetic resources for Vietnamese agriculture.

Through its research activities and the organisation of SAGA 2026, VinUniversity’s participation in AAAP 2026 reflects the Conference theme, “Sustainable Animal Production”, while promoting knowledge exchange, technological application and collaboration between the research community and practical production.

The AAAP 2026 Organising Committee extends its sincere gratitude to VinUniversity for its trust and support as a Diamond Sponsor. This partnership contributes to building a platform that connects scientists, experts and businesses from Vietnam and around the world to exchange knowledge and help shape the future of sustainable animal production.

The 21st Asian-Australasian Association of Animal Production (AAAP 2026) will take place from 28 to 31 October 2026 at the National Convention Center in Hanoi, Vietnam.
