As demands for structural durability, livestock housing environmental control, and biosecurity continue to increase, steel construction solutions are expected to contribute to more efficient farm investment. These topics will be explored by NS BlueScope Vietnam at the BlueScope Symposium, held as part of the 21st Asian-Australasian Association of Animal Production (AAAP 2026).
On October 29, 2026, NS BlueScope Vietnam will host the BlueScope Symposium under the theme “Next-Generation Farm Housing: Steel Solutions for High-Tech Agriculture.” The session will focus on the role of materials and structural design in farm construction, including their ability to withstand local climatic conditions, meet biosecurity requirements, and accommodate the growing adoption of automation in agricultural production.
The symposium will feature a presentation by Mr. Trinh Anh Duc, Technical Training Director at NS BlueScope Vietnam. With more than 20 years of experience in steel structures, roofing and walling solutions, and industrial and agricultural buildings, Mr. Duc will share practical insights into the application of steel materials in livestock housing construction.
Key topics will include solutions to mitigate corrosion, reduce maintenance costs, improve the microclimate inside livestock buildings, and enhance resilience to extreme weather conditions. The discussion will also examine how structural solutions can support hygiene and biosecurity requirements while facilitating the integration of automated systems into livestock production.
The symposium will also explore the application of steel solutions across a range of production models, including poultry, pig and cattle farming, shrimp farming, greenhouse vegetable production, and rooftop solar power systems. Drawing on experience from large-scale agricultural projects implemented in Vietnam, the practical insights presented will provide a clearer understanding of the applicability and investment efficiency of these solutions.
Building on these technical discussions, participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with Mr. Trinh Anh Duc and the NS BlueScope Vietnam expert team during a question-and-answer session from 12:00 to 12:30, following the main presentation from 11:05 to 12:00. The discussion will address the specific requirements of individual projects, helping businesses explore solutions suited to their production conditions and investment objectives.
The BlueScope Symposium will take place from 11:05 to 12:30 on October 29, 2026, in Room 7: 252, on the second floor of the National Convention Center in Hanoi, Vietnam.
