As part of the 21st Asian-Australasian Association of Animal Production (AAAP 2026), the TH Symposium will focus on high-tech solutions for dairy farming, dairy herd health management, quality assurance, and animal welfare. The symposium will provide a platform for experts to share their knowledge and practical experience, with the aim of improving the efficiency of large-scale dairy production and supporting sustainable development.
Bringing Together Expertise in Modern Dairy Farming
The TH Symposium will feature four speakers with expertise in veterinary medicine, dairy herd health management, quality assurance, and crop and forage production. These areas play important roles in the effective operation of large-scale dairy farming systems, from animal health and welfare to quality control and feed supply.
Craig Tanner, Chief Veterinarian at TH Milk Food Joint Stock Company (TH Milk Food JSC), brings more than 40 years of experience in veterinary medicine and dairy herd health management. Joining him are Le Van Thien, MSc, Deputy Head of the Veterinary Department and Head of the Veterinary Center of Excellence (CoE) at TH Milk Food JSC; Tran Trung My, PhD, Deputy Director of Quality Assurance for TH Group’s Farm Division and Director of Quality Assurance at TH Milk Food JSC; and Nguyen Le Thang, MSc, Deputy CEO of Agitec, responsible for field crop and forage production at TH Milk Food JSC.
From High-Tech Applications to Improved Animal Welfare
The symposium will cover four key topics: high-tech solutions for large-scale dairy farming in Vietnam; advanced technologies in animal feed production; the development of outcome-based animal welfare frameworks; and monitoring antimicrobial use in large-scale dairy farming systems.
These topics address practical priorities in modern farm management, from improving production efficiency and optimizing feed production processes to strengthening animal health and welfare management. Discussions on animal welfare assessment and antimicrobial use monitoring will also highlight the importance of science-based management in developing modern, efficient, and sustainable dairy farming systems. The symposium will offer experts an opportunity to exchange knowledge, share practical experience, and connect scientific research with the real-world needs of dairy farms.
The TH Symposium will take place from 14:00 to 16:10 on 28 October 2026 in Room 7 at the National Convention Center, Hanoi, Vietnam, as part of AAAP 2026, which will be held from 28 to 31 October 2026.
Through in-depth technical discussions and the exchange of practical experience, the symposium aims to promote the application of technology and improved management practices in dairy farming, helping enhance production efficiency, safeguard animal health, and support the sustainable development of the livestock sector.
